Hawaii here I come

Oh, Chicago! I LOVE LOVE LOVE you. And, we need a break from each other. 🙂 Not yet, but soon. I LOVE Chicago. I LOVE living in a place with four seasons. And, I LOVE to travel. This winter, particularly the last few weeks, has been cold and many glitters (formally known as snow). It’s been breathtakingly beautiful, AND I’m ready for spring. 🙂

For years now, I have wanted to take a month or two in the winter and be somewhere warm and tropical. I’ve talked about it from time to time, but I truly haven’t focused my energy on it. It hit me the other day that when I’m coaching others to live their dreams, we work on attention and intention. Give your dream ‘attention’ with ‘intention.’

Now I will be giving attention and intention to spending a month (or more) in Hawaii in Jan/Feb of 2022. Visit me!

Moving forward, I invite you to take steps towards living your dreams by:

Step 1: Deciding and declaring what it is you want. What does it look like? Who else is involved? Focus on how it feels being inside that dream. For me, I LOVE the water, preferably being on it sailing, and thankfully Lake Michigan feeds that LOVE for me. A dream for me is to live somewhere that I can hear the waves sounds from my home’s windows. I’ve had vacations where that has happened, and I’m truly in paradise. I’ve been to Hawaii a couple of times in my life, and it was paradise. Decision made. Declaration did.

Step 2: Make a list. Make a list of why you want to experience that dream. Who do you want to experience it with? What do you want to do? For me, one of the perks of working for myself is I can work from anywhere. A friend of mine recently moved to the Big Island, so I’ve asked her how she made that decision. I know a couple of other people who live in Hawaii, so I’ll check with them. And I will do my own research to find out where my favorite things are located…. whale watching, big waves, beautiful sunsets, and adventure.

Step 3: Believe it! Believe that you are worthy of living that dream you yearn to live. It doesn’t have to be a pipe dream unless you think you can’t achieve it. When doubt enters your mind, and it will, go back to the why the dream is important to you and get back into the feeling space of living it.

Step 4: Find happiness in the present moment. While I am excited about working from Hawaii, doing my research, and getting into the feeling place of being there, I’m also appreciating the glitter that is coming and coming and coming. It truly is beautiful. While you are creating your dreams, make sure to enjoy the steps getting you there. If you take things for granted, you will be missing out on a whole lot of beauty.

Step 5: Be okay with it showing up in a different package. Now, I want Hawaii! I want Hawaii because of the warmth, the ocean, the tropics, and the sun. I’m pretty sure it will be Hawaii. That is what I will give my attention and intention to, but I am also okay that as the year progresses, either my desire changes, or a different option avails itself that would still allow me to fee the warmth, the ocean, the tropics, and the sun. It’s truly more about how you want to FEEL that where it is, you feel it at.

Mostly, my wish is for you to realize that you are worthy of living your smallest AND your biggest dreams. I have had many dreams come true in my life, and yet, I discovered that I don’t give the attention and intention to the bigger ones. In closing, give your attention and your intention to living your life filled with deeper LOVE, laughter, and dreams coming true. You deserve it. That I know to be true.

Until next time, take one step closer to your dreams.

PS. I can’t wait to offer ((HUGS)) there and some embrace life training.
