I was heading out to the suburbs this weekend to visit a friend and go canoeing. As I was driving there, listening to music, a song came on that I’d heard many times. It’s on my heart song playlist, and I LOVE it, but I heard it differently today.
The song ‘On My Way’ by Jennifer Lopez is about being on your way to a romantic partner, but today, I realized it is about being on my way to living life the way I want to live it.

You may not know what your final dream will precisely look like, whether it be your dream job, romantic partner, or anything you are yearning for, but you still have a knowledge of what you want.

As we move toward our dreams, we often encounter painful hurdles and delays that can feel like a failure.
And every heartbreak was a yellow brick road
Pointing me straight, just taking me home

Often on the other side of the hurdle, we see how what appeared to be a setback was an opportunity to see it from a new vantage point. See the challenges as just passing through on your way to your dreams.

You are so focused on the challenge, the disappointment, and the seeming failure that you overlook that your dreams are on their way to you too.

You are at the point of giving up, and perhaps you don’t believe it’s going to happen for you, and yet, if you don’t give up, you will see that what you are meant for is meant for you too.

It may show up in a different look, a different person, or a different job than you thought it would be, but it will show up. You are meant to live a life filled with LOVE, health, abundance, and joyful and magnificent adventures.
Moving forward, I invite you to be on your way to your dreams by:
Visualizing the outcome of the dream you desire. How do you want to feel in that dream job, dream relationship, or whatever your end desire is?
Don’t wait! Don’t wait for the right time, needing to get an education, lose/gain weight, or anything you think you need to HAVE the dream come to fruition. As you move toward your dreams, what needs to align will. Take inspired action toward the life you want to live and watch life meet you on the way.
See setbacks as new vantage points to review rather than as stopping points. Will they be frustrated and sad? Quite possibly. Feel your frustration and sadness, and remind yourself it’s part of the journey, not the ending of your journey.
Listen to the ‘On My Way’ song and envision your dreams that you are on your way to.
Mostly, my wish for you is to fully know you are worthy and deserving of living the life of your dreams. Having healthy and LOVING relationships, meaningful work and finances, and magical and magnificent adventures.
