Mid-January Check-In: Beyond Resolutions

Did you even declare any resolutions this year? If you did, how do you feel about them? Have you stayed on track, or have they started to fade into the background? If you’re like many people, the excitement of setting resolutions often fades by mid-January. That’s why I take a different approach. Instead of resolutions, I focus on what I want to experience throughout the year—things I know will happen and dreams I’m unsure how to achieve. Both matter and deserve my attention and intention.

This way of thinking isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating a life filled with the moments and experiences that bring you joy and purpose. Yet, it’s so easy to let the busyness of daily life pull you away from focusing on your dreams and aspirations.

Moving forward, I encourage you to:

Revisit your intentions regularly. Ask yourself what you want to feel, achieve, or create this year. Focusing on your “why” helps you stay inspired.

Celebrate your progress. Every step brings you closer to your end results, no matter how small. Take time to acknowledge how far you’ve come.

See setbacks as opportunities. When something doesn’t go as planned, use it as a chance to reflect and adjust. Sometimes, a slight shift can lead to even better outcomes..

Keep your vision alive. Take a moment each day to picture your dreams as if they’re already happening. Feel the excitement and possibility—they’re yours to create.

The middle of January is the perfect time to pause and reflect. You’re not behind; you’re right where you need to be. As you move forward, remember that this is your journey, and every step matters. Keep focusing on what you want to experience, and trust that the path will unfold.

I’d love to hear from you. What are you focusing on this year? Email me, and let me hold your vision with you as you create a life you love.

Affirmation:

I trust the journey and celebrate every step forward.
