Will you do me a favor? Please, stop it!
What do you ask?
Stop being so hard on yourself. Stop believing you are unworthy of living a life that you love. Stop giving your doubts and fears center stage and all of your attention. Stop thinking it’s too late to do something differently to live a happier and healthier life.
Listen, I get it. I do this exact work with my clients and community, helping people quiet their inner critic and turn up the volume on their inner cheerleader. And even though I teach this stuff every day, I still have moments where those old stories sneak in, moments of doubt, fear, or feeling “not enough.”
That’s part of being human. But what I’ve learned (and what I love to help others practice) is how to catch those thoughts, shift them, and choose kindness over criticism. Kindness isn’t just something we offer others—it’s something we need to offer ourselves over and over again.
Moving forward, I invite you to stop and choose kindness, especially toward yourself by:
Notice The Narrative
Pay attention to how you speak to yourself. Would you say those exact words to someone you love? If not, rewrite the script.
Practice Gentle Reframes
Replace “I messed everything up” with “I’m learning as I go.” Replace “I’m not good enough” with “I’m doing my best today.” Words matter.
Celebrate Tiny Wins
Stop waiting for huge milestones to feel proud of yourself. Every small step forward counts. Celebrate them.
Surround Yourself With Positivity
Follow uplifting people, read inspiring words, and listen to music that lifts your spirit. Energy is contagious; choose yours wisely.
You deserve to live a life you love, starting with how you speak to and treat yourself. Be gentle. Be kind. Be patient. And if you could use a little extra encouragement or guidance along the way, check out my coaching or Positivity Card Decks, both are designed to support you in living with more kindness, joy, and love. You are so worth it.
Affirmation:
I am enough.
