Trusted Spaces

There is something deeply personal about who we choose to share our stories with. Our joys, our struggles, and our dreams deserve to be held in spaces where we feel safe to be fully ourselves. Trust is essential. When we feel seen, heard, and supported, it becomes easier to show up authentically, especially when we are still developing our sense of worth about what we share.

It is also okay to acknowledge that not everyone in your life is meant to hold those deeper parts of you. That does not mean they do not care. It simply means their role in your life is different. Some people are in your inner circle, the ones you feel completely safe with. Others may be kind acquaintances, supportive colleagues, or fun social connections. Each relationship has value. The key is noticing who helps you feel emotionally safe and who allows you to be yourself.

I have shared before about the difference between dolphins and sharks. Dolphins surround and protect individuals who are in distress in the water. Sharks react when they sense pain. Knowing who feels like a dolphin in your life helps you decide who to lean on when your heart is heavy or your dream still feels fragile. You can read more about that here. [Dolphins versus Sharks]

We all need places where people meet our innermost feelings with care rather than judgment. Often, just one or two people can offer that kind of space, and that is more than enough.

Learning to recognize those safe spaces and lean into them while releasing the need to share everything with everyone is a powerful act of self-trust.

Moving forward, I invite you to:

Identify the one or two people you feel safe being fully yourself with, especially when sharing your innermost thoughts.

Share your celebrations and struggles with those who respond with care, not comparison.

Honor the range of your relationships and accept that not everyone needs to hold everything.

If what you are carrying feels too heavy, therapy can be a powerful, loving support because you are worthy of healing and ease.

As a positive mindset coach, I help people create a life they love, starting with feeling safe and worthy of their truth. Whether you are celebrating a win, grieving a loss, or holding space for a new dream, trust yourself in who you invite in. Choosing the right spaces and people for your most authentic self takes strength, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Check out a discovery call, and let’s get started.

I see you, and you matter.
