Set the Tone

I usually write and schedule my weekly message over the weekend so it’s ready first thing Tuesday morning. But this week, it didn’t happen. Life moved quickly, and I didn’t pause long enough to reflect or write. And as I sat with that, I realized something important. I hadn’t set an intention for my week either.

Instead of stressing about the message being late, I chose to see it as an invitation. An invitation to pause, check in with myself, and gently ask: How do I want to feel this week? That question helped me reconnect with what matters. I chose calm. I chose happy. I chose love in action.

Setting an intention isn’t about sticking to a perfect plan. It’s about presence. As a positivity coach, I support people in creating lives they love, and that often begins with something as simple as this. Awareness. Intention. Alignment. I’ve seen how powerful it can be.

If your week started without intention, too, consider this your invitation. You haven’t missed your chance. There’s still time to pause, realign, and choose how you want to move through the rest of it.

Moving forward, I invite you to set your tone by:

Asking yourself how you want to feel this week

One question can shift your energy and your focus. Let your answer guide how you show up.

Choosing a word or phrase to anchor your week

Peace, ease, focus, or something like “I move with purpose.” Whatever brings you back to center.

Keeping it visible

Jot it down somewhere you’ll see often. Let it remind you who and how you want to be.

Checking in with yourself, gently

If you lose sight of your intention, you can always return to it. That’s the power of choosing again.

So yes, this message is arriving later than planned, but maybe that’s precisely what was needed. If you haven’t set an intention for your week yet, now is a beautiful time. You still get to choose how you show up, regardless of the day. And if you ever want support in living with more intention and alignment, I’d love to walk alongside you. Coaching with me is always rooted in kindness, clarity, and helping you create a life you love.

Affirmation:

I choose how I show up.
