Have you ever thought about all the parties, teams, or organizations that you consider yourself part of? Perhaps you have a favorite Alma Mater, professional sports team, political party, or even a community, city, state, country allegiance. You are proud to be an alum of a particular college. You are proud to cheer on your favorite sports team. You are proud to vote a particular way. You are even proud to be from a particular region of the country, or simply country pride. We all want to feel we fit in and matter to others, so it’s natural and good to have team spirit with like-minded people.
Have you ever thought about having team spirit as the simply complicated role as a global citizen? We have many differences in culture, race, and, ideology, but our common thread of connection is all desiring love, health, happiness, and safety.
Moving forward, I invite you to have Global Team Spirit by:
Knowing YOU matter! When you choose to be the very best you in this world, it filters out to those around you allowing others to stand in their own greatness.
Seeing the world as 1 person 7 billion times rather than seeing the world as 7 billion people. There are 7 billion other people in this world who too want to be seen, heard, and loved.
Believing you can make a difference one person at a time. Apathy occurs when we are overwhelmed with the challenges appearing too big and too complicated for ‘little old me’ to solve. When you choose kindness over judgment – you’ve made a difference. When you choose love over hate – you’ve made a difference. When you choose possibilities over challenges – you’ve made a difference.
Mostly, it’s my wish for you to be proud of the person you are as a unique individual who brings love, laughter, and compassion to all that you do. By being your best, you have Global Team Spirit.
Until next time, Go Team Universe – as a team we can soar!
Affirmation:
