My Wish

We’ve all heard it before: “Make a wish upon a star” or “Make a wish when you blow out your birthday candles.” Wishes are a powerful part of the process, but I’ve learned they are only one piece of the puzzle. While it’s true that some wishes may come true without any action, magic truly happens when we combine our desires with inspired action—the kind of action that moves us toward our dreams step by step.

LWishes create possibilities, but action brings those possibilities into reality. It’s not about the grand gestures—the small, consistent steps we take to align with what we want to make all the difference. If you want to see your dreams come true, action is the bridge between desire and manifestation. It’s the fuel that powers your wish.

As we embrace this week of gratitude (thank you, Thanksgiving!) and it’s my birthday on the 29th, I want to share the spirit of wishing and action with you. Here’s how you can join me in making some of my wishes come true:

Email and Connect with Me:

Your Wish: Reply to this email and share a wish close to your heart. I’d love to hold it and send positive energy your way.

A Kind Gesture: Tell me about a kind gesture you’ve received—or given. It can be big or small, but the intention behind it is everything.

Gratitude: Share three to five things you are grateful for today. Gratitude is the foundation of living the life you love.

Share how you know me: Do we know each other in person, through Facebook, events, or my newsletter?

Donate with Me:

If you feel called to, consider a small donation to one of these organizations I support:

Positive Focus: This is my heart project, where even a dollar a month shows your support for spreading hugs and positivity worldwide.

Children’s Place Association: This incredible nonprofit in Chicago serves underserved children and families, providing early learning, afterschool programs, foster care, adoption services, mental health support, and more.

World Central Kitchen: To provide meals to people in crisis by responding to humanitarian, climate, and community crises:

ACLU: Defend and preserve the rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution by contributing to the ACLU.

Now, Back to Your Wishes

Here’s how you can start:

Write It All Down: Let go of any doubts and write down every wish that comes to mind, whether big or small. Don’t worry about how it will happen; focus on wanting it to come true.

Take Inspired Action: Once your list is down, pick one or two wishes and ask yourself, What small action steps can I take today to move closer to them? It doesn’t have to be a grand leap. It might be something simple like visualizing your dream for five minutes a day, or maybe it’s making a phone call or doing some research. Whatever it is, action creates energy that moves your wish from imagination to reality.

Celebrate Every Step: Celebrate even the smallest victories along the way. Stay focused on happiness and joy because the more you celebrate, the more your energy aligns with your desires. Life will always have its ups and downs, and you don’t always need to feel happy, but by staying generally optimistic, you create momentum.

Embrace the Hurdles: When challenges arise, see them as opportunities to learn and grow. The obstacles can sometimes help you reevaluate your goals or reinforce just how much you desire to achieve them. Either way, they are part of the journey. Trust the process and keep taking small steps forward.

Know You Are Worthy: You deserve your biggest dreams. Sometimes, they show up in ways you didn’t expect, but the universe is working in your favor. It’s not about how your dreams manifest but how you feel as you pursue the life you want. So, confidently follow your dreams—align your actions with your wishes.

Until next time, I wish for your heart to overflow with love, feel fully supported, and know deep down that you are loved. And don’t forget: You can make your wishes come true—through belief and action.

Affirmation:

I am worthy of my dreams, and I take inspired action every day to bring them into reality.
