Rinse & Repeat

You’ve probably heard the phrase “rinse and repeat” more times than you can count. It can sound like you are just going through the motions, doing the same thing over and over without much change. It makes sense that repetition can feel that way sometimes. And yet, repetition is often exactly how meaningful change happens. It is not about being stuck. It is about what you are choosing to come back to.

In my work with clients, I often hear “the same thing” when I ask what they want to focus on. Not because they are not growing, but because certain patterns run deep. Beliefs about not being good enough or capable enough do not disappear overnight. They soften and shift through awareness, intention, and yes, repetition. When life feels steady, those thoughts stay quiet. When stress or fatigue shows up, they can get louder. That does not mean you are going backward. It means you are being given another opportunity to meet those thoughts differently. To respond with something new. To remind yourself, again, that you are worthy of a life you love.

Moving forward, I invite you to rinse & repeat by:

Rinsing what feels heavy

Gently notice the thoughts or habits that leave you feeling stuck or small. You do not need to judge them or push them away. Begin to loosen your grip on what no longer supports you.

Repeating what you want to believe

Choose a thought that feels supportive, even if it is not fully natural yet. Let it become something you return to daily, especially in moments when it would be easier to fall back into old patterns.

Rinsing your pace when needed

If you find yourself overwhelmed or disconnected, pause. Reset. You are allowed to step back, catch your breath, and begin again with intention.

Repeating aligned action

Keep showing up for yourself in small, meaningful ways. The power is not in doing everything at once, but in doing something consistently that reflects who you are becoming.

The power of repetition is not just in doing the same thing. It is in staying awake to what you are doing and choosing it on purpose. And when something stops resonating, you get to change it. You get to refresh the thought, the action, the affirmation. That is how growth stays alive. If you are ready to become more aware of the patterns you are repeating and intentionally shift them, this is work we can explore together.

Affirmation

I repeat what supports my growth.
