She Called

This week’s message is a little different than my normal ones as I wanted to share with you my Sunday walk. I live on the north side of Chicago, and there is a bird sanctuary near me right on the lake.

While taking in nature on the International Day of Peace, this message came to me, and I wanted to share it.

She called, and I came.

I asked her to show me something special. She replied that everything is special if I choose to see it that way.

I asked her to show me something precious. She replied that everything is precious if I choose to see it that way.

She went on.

She thanked me for standing up and speaking up, while reminding me to do it from a place of love.

She told me that wherever I am, whether at a democracy rally, offering hugs, or simply living my day, my role is to share love, kindness, compassion, and peace.

On this International Day of Peace, she reminded me that while others may stand up and speak out from fear, it is my work to stand up and speak out from love. She reminded me that even when the words may sound the same, the energy of love is where true strength lies.

She told me that fear wants my attention, and although I continue to stand up for democracy, there are moments when I do so from fear. She asked me to be gentle with myself when that happens, and to return to love.

She reminded me that the strength of love includes boundaries and that consequences to fearful actions are necessary. She asked me to remain rooted in love as they unfold.

She asked me to keep my heart open, while also knowing who to share it with.

She reminded me that I am precious and that life itself is precious.

She said Thank you for speaking on her behalf.

She called, I came, and I listened.

Moving forward, I invite you to:

Speak and act from love in your daily life.

Whether in a conversation with a friend, a moment with family, or even in how you speak to yourself, let love guide your words and actions. Love creates a foundation of strength in even the smallest interactions.

Speak and act from love in your daily life.

Whether in a conversation with a friend, a moment with family, or even in how you speak to yourself, let love guide your words and actions. Love creates a foundation of strength in even the smallest interactions.

Be gentle with yourself when fear shows up.

Fear will try to take your attention, and sometimes you may respond from that place. Instead of judging yourself, notice it and return to love.

Remember that love has boundaries.

Living from love does not mean ignoring harmful actions; it means embracing them with compassion and understanding. Consequences are part of love’s strength, and you can hold them while staying centered in compassion.

Keep your heart open with discernment.

An open heart is a gift, but you also choose with whom to share it. Allow love to guide you, while honoring your own well-being.

As you move through your own days, may you return again and again to love as your guide. It will not look perfect, and that’s okay. What matters is the choice to keep leaning into love with gentleness for yourself and others. I am here to support you in creating a life filled with kindness, peace, and love, one step and one moment at a time.
