Asking for a favor

Will you do me a favor?

 

Take a moment right now and put everything aside.

 

Step 1: Close your eyes and put your hand on your heart. Put your hand on your skin rather than your clothing if you can.

 

Step 2: B R E A T H E. Take several slow deep breaths to refill your body with needed oxygen. Feel your heart beating.

 

Step 3: Just for a moment, I encourage you to set aside your fears, anger, frustrations, and anything that has you feeling less than. Just try it for a moment.

 

Step 4: B R E A T H E. Inhale I am LOVED. Exhale, I am LOVE.

 

Step 5: Allow yourself to imagine a brighter day in all aspects of your life. What would that look like? What would that feel like? Remember, your fears have been put aside for a moment, so let your imagination be filled with LOVE, kindness, compassion, and peace. What would your day look like if LOVE overrode fear, if peace overcame conflict, and health availed over illness?

 

Set 6: Now, with that vision in your mind, what steps do you need to take to create that vision in your life and the world? Please believe that YOU deserve to live in a world of LOVE, kindness, compassion, and peace. Take a small step toward that reality today.

 

When a cloud of heaviness weighs you down, whether it is a personal challenge you are facing or a national or global event that has you feeling the world’s weight, I encourage you to revisit these steps. I am not asking you to ignore your sadness, frustration, or anger. I am asking you to channel it into healthy solutions. Allow your heavy feelings to be transmuted into a source of positive action.

 

We live in a beautiful and messy world. Focus on the beauty in your life and bring LOVE, kindness, and compassion to the messiness: one thought, word, and action at a time.
