Have you ever pondered how easily some things come for people? It is seemingly effortless for some, while others need help accomplishing it. I am amazed when I think of the visionaries behind the Internet, realizing it’s an energy exchange. I can get lost in Chicago’s skyline, marveling at the architectural brilliance of its creators. When I think of the sheer tonnage of planes gracefully gliding across the sky, I am astonished by aviation talents.
I LOVE witnessing creativity in people, especially when they follow their passion. Each person possesses innate talents, so effortlessly expressed that acknowledging praise often prompts a “that was nothing” or “no worries.” Yet, these abilities, seemingly second nature, are your unique gifts.
When something comes easily to you, it’s most likely your natural talent. Yes, you can learn and grow from things that you find challenging, but I am asking you to HONOR your natural gifts. What you find easy is often a challenge for someone else, and vice versa – what you find challenging is easy for someone else. Also, consider that once we have mastered what was difficult in the past, we often forget the trials and tribulations that brought us to the ability to conquer it with more ease than in the past. Take a moment to recognize and value your natural gifts. Carry this appreciation into the challenging moments, infusing them with the same ease.
Moving forward, I invite you to embrace ease by:
Celebrating Yourself: Appreciate the spectrum of your talents, from the smallest to the grandest. Living in a state of appreciation, gratitude, and LOVE facilitates an easier journey.
Gain Curiosity: When you focus on what you aren’t doing well, get curious about it. Ask yourself how you think it will feel when you figure it out.
Being Gentle with yourself: Yes, finding ease in our lives is wonderful, and yet, life isn’t just rainbows and unicorns. Life has challenging moments. Life has sad times. And during those difficult moments and sad times, LOVE and beauty are still there when you are willing to look for them. So, if you find yourself in times of hardship, be gentle, feel your feelings, and take a small step toward what it would be like to navigate the experience with a little more gentleness and ease.
Above all, I encourage you to prioritize joy over sadness, ease over struggle, abundance over lack, LOVE over fear, and peace over conflict. Shifting your focus towards LOVE, kindness, compassion, peace, gratitude, and appreciation brings more ease to your life.
Until next time, take it easy.
