I recently took a break and had a fun memory-making road trip with my two sisters. We drove around Lake Michigan for fall foliage, laughter, and adventure, and we sure had some. Along with the fact that I love getting away, road trips, and spending time with my sisters, I needed the break. I needed a pause from the hard things happening in the country and the world. Now, I don’t watch the news, but I still stay informed and do what I can to help. The break was wonderful. It wasn’t hiding from hardship; it was taking a break from it.

Whether you need a break from world issues or something personal you’re going through, I encourage you to take it. Maybe you can’t get away for a few days —I certainly can’t all the time —but taking small, intentional breaks helps you relax, find calm, and recenter yourself. Those pauses allow you to return to your challenges with more grace and ease.
Moving forward, I encourage you to take breaks by:
Getting some fresh air.
Step outside, breathe deeply, and take in your surroundings. Oftentimes, a few minutes outdoors can reset your energy.
Taking mini pauses.
Give yourself a few moments throughout the day to slow down, breathe, and step into gratitude.
Doing something that makes you smile.
Watch a funny video, listen to your favorite music, or connect with someone who lifts you up.
Creating a no guilt zone.
Remind yourself that rest is productive and helps you show up more fully when you return.
Taking breaks isn’t about escaping life; it’s about embracing it more fully. When you give yourself time to pause, you create space for clarity, harmony, and renewed energy.
If you’re ready to create a life that feels more in harmony and filled with joy, I invite you to schedule a discovery call with me. Together, we can explore ways to help you live a life you truly love.
Sending you much love,
C
