Seasons of Change

Are you good with change? It probably depends on the change. The kind we choose feels different from the kind we don’t, even when it is necessary. I live in Chicago, and we had our first snowfall of the season yesterday. We’ve had snow in November before, but it still feels early. I wasn’t ready for the change, yet the snow is beautiful, too. There’s something about noticing it, the quiet, the brightness, the way it transforms everything, that makes it easier to accept.

Change is part of life, just like the seasons shift. Sometimes it arrives gradually, like the slow turning of leaves. At other times, it surprises us, shaking things loose that we didn’t even realize we were holding onto. Whether you are choosing change or it is choosing you, it can be an invitation to breathe, realign, and trust that something new is unfolding. Grace comes from noticing that transition is not failure or loss. It is a natural part of life’s flow.

Moving forward, I invite you to welcome change by:

Noticing your feelings.

Take a moment to check in with yourself before moving forward.

Paying attention to what calls you.

Ask yourself what feels ready to bloom and what feels ready to fall away.

Taking one gentle step.

Change does not have to be dramatic. A slight shift, done with intention, can open new doors.

Trusting your timing.

I know for me, trusting timing can be challenging. Sometimes things arrive when we expect, and sometimes they don’t. The practice is noticing what we can do now and allowing life to unfold without forcing it.

As the seasons turn, may you find beauty in the in-between moments, the letting go, and the pauses before what comes next. If you would like gentle guidance as you navigate your next chapter, I would be honored to support you in creating a life you love to live.

Affirmation

I flow with life’s changes.
