What are you dreaming about right now? Maybe it feels exciting and possible, or perhaps it feels so big that you can’t imagine how it could ever happen. Dreams can sometimes feel overwhelming, but when you break them down, they become more approachable. Just like a road trip across the country, the journey is made step by step. You can’t travel from New York to California in just one day. You decide how much you want to drive, where you want to stop, and what you want to see along the way. It is the same with your dreams.
I am a big dreamer. I love to imagine what I want more of in my life and even what I want less of. Many of my dreams have come true, while others have shifted or not materialized. And that is okay. I love my life as it is, and I also know it can always be enhanced by moving toward new dreams. What has mattered most is how I choose to feel and how I choose to show up in the process.
Moving forward, I invite you to dream big by:
Writing them down
Put all of your dreams on paper, from the biggest dream you can hardly imagine happening to the smaller ones that feel within reach. Pay attention to how you feel when you see them written down. Do you feel excited? Or do you feel fear and doubt rising up? Both are normal.
Adjusting the scope
If a dream feels too intimidating, scale it back to a place that excites you rather than worries you. Fear is not the problem; it’s how much time and energy you give to it. Get curious about what feels possible, and be gentle when fear visits
Celebrating along the way
Don’t wait for the result to celebrate. Honor the small steps forward. Notice the progress. Recognize the little wins, and also celebrate the dreams that feel easy to believe in. They matter just as much as the bigger, more challenging ones. Celebrating all of it builds momentum and keeps you moving toward the bigger dream.
Focusing on feelings
Yes, you can absolutely imagine the qualities of your dream partner, job, or opportunity. That helps give your dream shape. But don’t get stuck on it having to look a certain way. Instead, pay closer attention to how you want to feel. If your dream is a romantic partnership, do you want to feel safe, seen, and appreciated? If your dream is a new career, do you want to feel creative, purposeful, fulfilled? Let those feelings guide you, and allow the details to unfold in ways you might not have expected.
Your dreams matter, no matter the size. Some may change, some may not come to be, and some may unfold in ways beyond your wildest imagination. What matters is that you keep moving toward the life you want to live, a life you love.
If you are working on a dream, I invite you to email me so we can hold the vision together. And if you would like deeper support, schedule a discovery call, and let’s explore the steps together.
