Thanks A Lot

How often do we genuinely express gratitude in our daily lives? I’ll admit, even as someone who focuses on gratitude, there are moments when I get caught up in the rush of the day and forget to say thank you consciously. Recently, I’ve noticed that my expressions of gratitude often come in moments of relief or joy – like when narrowly avoiding an accident or stumbling but not falling – and I find myself thanking my Angels, yes, I talk to them too. But what about the everyday occurrences we often overlook? What about the things we’re still hoping for, yet to manifest, where frustration sometimes overshadows gratitude?

So, here’s my invitation: let’s embark on a week-long journey of saying thank you – a lot. Whether you’re up for a day or the whole week, I’d LOVE to hear about your experience. For the next seven days, let’s consciously step into gratitude. Let’s say thank you after drinking water or our favorite drink. Let’s say thank you for the clothes we put on, the bed we sleep in, and the food we’re about to enjoy regardless of its nutritional value, And let’s give ourselves a pat on the back – or instead, a thank you – for catching those moments when we slip into negativity, replacing self-criticism with gentle acknowledgment and redirection.

Moving forward, I invite you to integrate thankfulness into your daily routines with these simple practices:

Healthier Body: Thank your body for its resilience and functionality. Express gratitude for nourishing it with water, food, and even natural processes like digestion and elimination. While maintaining a healthy lifestyle is fantastic, remember to be kind to yourself, especially when indulging in treats deemed unhealthy.

Healthier Finances: Whether money is flowing in or out, cultivate gratitude. Say, thank you for the bills you can pay and the opportunities to earn more. Acknowledging the abundance and the challenges, you open yourself to greater financial well-being.

Healthier Attitude: When frustration creeps in, shift your perspective with a simple thank you mantra. Repeat saying THANK YOU over and over again can transform your mood and outlook. I like to say “arigato,” which is thank you in Japanese.

Show Gratitude Daily: Thank those who make a difference, big or small. Let them know they matter, from holding the door to lending an ear or sharing a kind word. A simple thank you note, text or verbal appreciation can deepen connections and brighten someone’s day—and bonus points, as it will brighten your day, too.

Lastly, remember that even amidst our challenges, there are reasons for gratitude if we’re willing to look for them. Isn’t your happiness worth the effort? You deserve to live a life you LOVE, and I’m here to remind you of that and support you in creating it.

Until next time, Thank You.
